XODUS THREE DAY RETREAT
The Xodus Three Day Retreat is a transformative experience designed to provide spiritual renewal in Jesus Christ, personal growth, and healing for individuals impacted by incarceration. Over the course of three days, participants engage in Christ Centered guided reflections, group discussions, and worship sessions that foster a supportive community and encourage a deeper connection with faith.
This retreat offers a safe space where attendees can explore their journey, confront challenges, and embrace hope for their future. Through the prayer, music, and shared stories, and the power of Holy Spirit, participants find encouragement and strength to trust GOD to make positive changes in their lives. Our ministry currently serves Lake Correctional Institution in Lake County, FL.
The retreat is facilitated by Christian volunteers who understand the unique circumstances faced by those involved with the prison system. Their compassionate guidance ensures that everyone feels valued and heard.
By attending the Xodus Three Day Retreat, individuals take an important step towards healing and restoration, equipped with renewed faith in Jesus Christ and a sense of purpose. This experience aims for the lasting transformation of a regenerated life in Christ Jesus and empower participants to move forward with confidence in GOD’s love for them and His grace.

Being a born again believer, I kind of had an idea what to expect when I attended Xodus. Praising God, testimonies, preachings, and cookies would be there. Plus ideas and information on how to obtain help once I was released. I would fill myself with all of them.
But what struck me most was the volunteers. They genuinely wanted to help us stay out of prison and were willing to give us the shirts off their backs if they could.
And that's when I knew I had to find a way to give back to the community once I got out.
Having the light of Yahweh within me, I can't to back to hiding it under a basket. I have to let it shine.
So now that goal has become part of my plan for staying out of prison.
I don't know yet how God will use me, but I know that He will, and I have the Xodus volunteers to thank for showing me that.
Sincerely,
Alan

First, I want to say I'm very thankful for the Xodus Retreat. I feel blessed and loved from everyone involved; to see how much that people really do care about people like me means a lot.
And to feel that motivates my will to change and to grow my knowledge about Jesus and Christian living.
The Xodus Retreat showed me what it means and how it feels to treat other people Good, and with true concern and love.
I hope one day to be able to be a part of the same things to someone one day. It means a lot and I pray that this retreat will continue for others to experience in the future.
During the meals I would always picture Jesus at the Last Supper with His disciples and the reasons for it and also the meaning behind it. So thank you for this too.
Thank you to everyone involved with this program, it gives me hope to know you care for people like me in prison.
My will and hope from this is to do the best I can after I get out and follow all the positive examples shown to me at the retreat and to do my best to make all your effort be worth something.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Troy

My name is Eduardo and I attended the Feb. 23,24,25 Xodus Prison Ministry Retreat.
The volunteers who came to visit and teach us and feed us while we attended are very much appreciated and honored for coming and showing us that we are worth their time and effort.
We touched on many topics but the one I seen the ost was/is the love they shared with us.
We were given information such as employment directory, and other very important bookts that will help us for when we are released.
I hope that they continue to invest their time and efforts in this program it has made a big difference in my life and I can look forward to my release with a sense of worth and love....
thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Eduardo

After spending over four years in the Department of Corrections, I was overwhelmed with Christ like love shown by the wonderful Xodus team. It all began the moment we entered the chapel where they greeted us with a warm hug. Then they placed a name tag on our shirts to identify who we are as "people".
Their open door policy to talk or pray throughout the event allowed us to become comfortable enough to laugh, talk, and praise God on one accord.
I must add the endless cookies and coffee along with outside meals did help the window of my heart to open.
However, the unconditional love notes written by people that wasn't present knocked down the thick walls of prison which reached my soul.
In closing, I truly believe God himself organized this group of people to let us men know that Hell does have an exit and Jesus Christ is the way. Amen.
Sincerely,
Melvin

My name is Dexter and I am on the Praise Team.
I've been through Xodus program and Kairos' program and this Xodus we just had was the best one yet.
I hope and pray that when I am released that I can join you guys to support my brothers and others.
I've been broken, I've been hurt, I've had pain, heartaches, two strokes, as well as a brain aneurysm.
Today I'm healed.
In closing, you can put my name and my picture on your website because I want the whole world to know who God is.
Thank you and God bless you.
Sincerely,
Dexter

On June 4th, 2015, I had a divine appointment with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'm 29 years old and on the verge of being released back into society. On this day, the first day of the Xodus Retreat, I was not going to go due to the commitment to the another program I was in at this institution.
However our Lord had seen it was necessary for me to attend and I needed to make this appointment.
I came to our chapel so unsure and not knowing what to expect. When I walked in, I received my id and sat alone from aside the other family tables.
I was nervous to say the least. The food was great, the testimonies were heartfelt, and the messages held true to my heart as I could see the Holy Spirit speaking and working through their lives.
Then I thought of my life and where I've been, where I'm at, and the choices I've made thus far and my desire for our Lord to lead me and guide me the rest of my life.
I never allowed the Lord in my life. not until, June 5th. I spoke of my life with the pastor and prayed with him, calling upon the Lord to be alive in my heart and my life.
After this I went back into the chapel and felt completely awestruck as if the heaviest burdens had been lifted off my shoulders.
I had a vision as the pastor was speaking and it was Jesus calling me and I'd heard His voice but I didn't recognize the voice. I knew that I needed to strengthen my relationship with Jesus so I can know Him just as He knows me.
I truly am thankful for the experiences of this Xodus event and I would encourage all, to open their eyes, their ears, their hearts, minds and souls to the Holy Spirit to work through them as He has done and continues to do for me.
Sincerely,
Darryl

I attended the Xodus #14 Three Day Retreat while incarcerated at Lake Correctional Institution, and I am SO glad that I did!
Not only did I get to fellowship with my Christian brothers and sisters, but I gained a sense of understanding of WHO Jesus REALLY IS!
I gained a higher sense of the work He did on the cross for all of us.
This ultimately boosted my morale and self-esteem, knowing that
NO MATTER WHAT, Jesus is on my side.
The skills that I attained during the retreat will forever be in my my mind and heart, and I am extremely grateful that the Lord provided me with the opportunity to attend. It was perfect timing, only a few days before my release.
I highly recommend that if you have a loved one who is able to attend XODUS, you let them know IT IS HIGHLY WORTH IT!
I am now released and I started my own business within the first month of my release, enrolled in college, obtained health care, and I am keeping God first.
Thank you XODUS for all you have done for myself and the community! You all are a SERIOUS blessing from God!
With love,
Jonathan G.

35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’
37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 39 And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’
Matthew 25:35-37, 39,40 ESV (emphasis added)
